September 5 - National Day of Teachers' Mourning

September 5, 2018 is National Day of Teachers’ Mourning

Ipinagluluksa natin ang mga gurong nagpakamatay.

Ipinagluluksa rin natin ang unti-unting pagpanaw ng Dignidad ng ating napiling propesyon!

Our demands:

1. Stop the implementation of RPMS, Saturday classes, DLL/DLP, class observations and other clerical and non-teaching related tasks of teachers
2. Fully implement the “six-hour workday” nationwide
3. Provide sick leave and health benefits for teachers

Our Protest Actions

For NCR and nearby divisions:
Join the protest at DepEd Central Office in Pasig City, 1:00 o’clock in the afternoon.

For all regions, join any of these nationally-coordinated activities:
A minute of prayer before the start of classes
Noise barrage/ringing of school bells at 12:00 noon
Lighting of candles of protest and mourning at 6:00PM

Other suggested activities from September 5 to October 5:
Wearing of arm band
Tarpaulin hanging
Special mass offering for teachers
Changing of profile picture
Uploading of picture/short video to support the protest

Please share and support our calls! Magkita-kita tayo sa rally sa Wednesday!

Salamat po!
