ILANG PAGLILINAW HINGGIL SA MATATANGGAP NA ONE-MONTH SALARY INCENTIVE NGAYONG HUNYO

Ito po ay PEI for 2015 na ipagkakaloob nang mas maaga, kadalsan kasi ay Disyembre ang PEI at ang halaga ay pabagu-bago (P10, 000 mula 2007-2011 at naging P5, 000 mula 2012). Nasa ibaba ang ilan pang paliwanag:

PEI or Productivity Enhancement Incentive

The teachers fondly call this (previously discretionary) incentive by different names:

Amelioration pay during the time of Pres. Ramos;

Eraption during the time of Pres. Estrada; 

Glorification during the time of Pres. Arroyo; and 

P-Noy bonus for current admin

Date of release:

Before FY 2012: Not earlier than December 14

2013: Not earlier than November 15 (to aid calamity victims)

2014: Not earlier than December 15 

2015: Not earlier than June 1

• Before the year 2009, this PEI was known as extra cash gift (2002-2003) and performance bonus (2005-2010) and has increased from P5000 in year 2002, 2003 and 2005 (no allocation for 2004) to P6000 in year 2006 to P10, 000 in year 2007 up to 2011 (in year 2009 it was named PEI).

• But in year 2012, this PEI was reverted to P5000

• Teachers and employees demand for a higher PEI, if the government cannot increase the P10, 000 as previously allocated, it is better to retain the said amount
