Preventing Lamok Multiply

Prevent the Spread of Mosquitoes (for Good!)

So many suggestions have been made about how the dengue-carrying mosquitoes' population must be controlled. Well, this video is just one of those... But these are tips and tricks I've personally tried and tested, so I highly recommend this to everybody. Here is a summary:

1. Kill wrigglers (Tagalog: "kiti-kiti") before they even become mosquitoes. I don't sweat with this because all I do is keep "itar" or mosquito fish, also called "isdang kanal" in our waterways and even in pails with stagnant water. Each can eat at 1.5 grams of wrigglers a day. And while they're considered invasive species, they have plenty of predators here, including many Filipino's favorite bangus or tilapia.

2. Use lotions or creams that are known to ward off mosquito bites.

3. Most importantly, keep your spaced clean! It is still best to avoid stagnant water as much as possible because this is basically where mosquitoes breed.
